Meet BAGPAL. BAGPAL is a strong and brave friend who is always there for you in your time of need. BAGPAL was created for the RenderWeekly design bias challenge. I spoke with Linda Bui about the theme of this challenge, and she shared with me the insights that led to this concept. I've always known that too many public restrooms are lacking hooks to hang your bag from, and no one likes putting their bag on the gross public restroom floor. That said, I hadn't considered how uncomfortable and stressful an experience it can be to be without a place to put your bag when you are using a public restroom and need both hands to change a tampon or pad.
BAGPAL is a multipurpose hook-shaped friend that travels with you to hold your things when you can not. It has a strong stainless steel skeleton and a colorful waterproof skin that is easy to clean when you wash your hands. BAGPAL is designed to provide secure bag holding capabilities on a wide variety of door thicknesses, materials, under tables, and anywhere else you can give BAGPAL a new bag holding challenge. BAGPAL will always try its best. Unlike human hands, BAGPAL does not get tired. Just remember to thank your BAGPAL for its tireless efforts. It's also quite sassy so make sure to care for it well.
BAGPAL comes in a wide assortment of curious flavors. Each BAGPAL is unique, created just for you. It is ok to smell BAGPAL if you ask nicely, but please do not eat your new friend.
